Plant Manager

Our client is a global leader in creating innovative, high performance engineered solutions. They supply sophisticated thin film coatings and optical filters for thermal imaging, critical components for infrared sensing technology and special materials.

The Plant Manager is responsible for directing and coordinating the daily operations. The Plant Manager drives continuous improvement and optimization of all processes. This includes developing efficiency strategies to ensure the plant meets production goals and standards at minimal manufacturing costs while meeting customer quality requirements. The Plant Manager is also responsible for upholding a safe, environmentally conscientious, and issue free work environment.


? ?Accountable for developing and managing the plant budget including product costs

? ?Provide overall direction and guidance to the operation, maximizing growth and profitability

? ?Direct hiring and development of hourly and salaried team members for an engaged work force

? ?Manage, monitor systems and activities, insure compliance with corporate policy and procedure.

? ?Meet or exceed customer requirements with respect to quality, delivery, and responsiveness.

? ?Insure On-Time Delivery, Productivity and Cost targets are met.

? ?Insure systems and processes are in place that track and optimize productivity, standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure highest effective return on assets

? ?Establish Key Performance Indicators related to business goals, track and report progress

? ?Support and promote Company vision, mission, and values

? ?Champion the Plant?s Environmental, Health and Safety initiatives

? ?Schedule, conduct plant meetings, serve as primary local community partner for the company

? ?Track record of successful completion of projects, leading multiple projects simultaneously

? ?Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills, and the ability to create accountability and to lead by example

? ?Manage policy deployment of Lean Manufacturing techniques, quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls and plant performance

Requirements for Plant Manager

? ?BS degree; Engineering, Operations Management, Technology Master?s Degree preferred

? ?10 + years leadership experience in a low volume / high mix environment, Optical Filters ? Fabrication, Coatings or Assemblies ideal

? ?Knowledge of business and management principles budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation

? ?Lean Six Sigma Black Green Belt, knowledge of Quality and Productivity Improvement Processes

? ?Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; focus on driving disciplined, fact-based decisions

? ?Inspirational, adaptive leadership style, promote innovation and collaboration with the workforce

? ?Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, presenting information to diverse audiences

? ?Must be a U.S. citizen ad be able to travel up to 15%

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
