Job summary
The Red Hat Performance Engineering team is looking for a Performance Engineering Intern to join us in Westford, MA. In this role, you will work in a small team that is focused on performance characterization and improvement of the the Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) when used for high-performance computing.
Primary job responsibilities
+ Work on a team doing performance characterization and enhancements of libraries and tools for hardware acceleration of high-performance computing (HPC) and machine learning (ML) algorithms
+ Help benchmark the current solutions and then work with other members from the Engineering team and with partners building GPU offload hardware
+ Receive guidance from others in the Performance Engineering team and work with Red Hat's kernel and library teams to characterize and optimize the performance for the HPC
Required skills
+ Bachelor?s or master?s degree in software or computer engineering with a keen interest in performance testing, optimization, or monitoring
+ Experience with Linux, virtualization, or containers
+ Solid knowledge of HPC applications; experience using CUDA, R, and Tensorflow libraries is a plus
+ License and certification may be required
+ Familiarity with a variety of the HPC and ML or artificial intelligence (AI) fields? concepts, practices, and procedures
+ Experience with scripting

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
