Position Summary:

As a member of NETSCOUT s Real Estate and Facilities team this position will lead all facility management operations for a global portfolio. This role will be located either in Allen, TX or Westford, MA.

This role combines team leadership with deep operational expertise and partners with various stakeholders within the organization. We seek a Sr. Manager who demonstrates proven success in a technology organization delivering operational excellence with respect to facilities management, team building, project management, and budgeting.

The successful candidate must operate as a true partner to business stakeholders and establish highly integrated relationships with vendor partners. He/she must be comfortable operating on both the strategic and tactical levels, simultaneously acting as an internal customer relationship manager, educator, analyst, solutions architect, and implementer. Experienced in multinational/multi-cultural environments. A proven track-record, expertise, and passion for facilities management with strong financial acumen, is critical.

The optimal candidate is an experienced, vibrant, and engaging professional who will excel within an entrepreneurial culture providing vision, leadership, and communication not afraid to dive deep into details. They should also understand the nuance of being approachable, while at the same time consultative providing direction/recommendations and fostering transparent relationships. The candidate must be able to balance frugality with creativity in offering solutions and approach problem-solving with an emphasis on root cause.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive strategy for site operations. Deploy a consistent global program; think globally, execute locally.
  • Partner with markets and business to define FM strategy specifically where an integrated facility management approach may not be feasible.
  • Define and implement FM strategies, principles, standards and guidelines that are consistent with the company s brand, corporate goals and values.
  • Develop KPIs to manage and audit.
  • Mentors, develops, and coaches a small team of regional facilities team members to deliver results.
  • Support the creation and delivery of operational objectives, facilities services, programs and contracts in the portfolio.
  • Provide strategic direction to the real estate management team (direct reports and outsourced vendor teams) who oversee facilities operations of sites.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure upkeep of all properties
  • Accountable for annual capital budget.
  • Assures capital projects, operations projects and reconfigurations are managed with outstanding customer service while maintaining cost controls.
  • Further develops standards and procedures as business and customer needs evolve.
  • Drive and support special projects and strategic initiatives for the portfolio.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners such as HR, Engineering, Services, Finance, etc.
  • Participate in any site/country/portfolio level crisis when required.
  • Exceptional communication skills; ability to lead cross-functional teams through influence, advice, and modeled behavior versus micromanagement; excellent interpersonal skills; calm under pressure, able to de-escalate and effectively manage escalations at all levels of the company
  • Domestic and international travel as required.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Real Estate, Architecture, Business or Engineering. MBA, MCR or FM certification preferred.

Basic Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years professional experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience as a leader with 5+ years of management responsibilities.
  • Outstanding analytic, project management, communications, presentation, relationship building and organizational skills.
  • Experience working across multiple types of properties (office, software lab, hardware manufacturing, etc).
  • Highly competent with personal computers and productivity software, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, CAD, and SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working across global markets.
  • Experience building and managing a team or department within a startup or entrepreneurial setting.
  • Proven track record of managing facilities management teams.
  • A track record of championing speed, flexibility and frugality in the face of change and workload.
  • Solid understanding of sourcing/procurement, building systems and maintenance, vendor management and customer service.
  • Comfortable with legal terms and structures for standard commercial contracts.
  • Strong ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and successfully execute tactics.
  • Effective resource management and project management skills.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, you regularly will be required to talk and hear. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift company products and supplies, up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
