Overview
The Category Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a product line. The Category Manager utilizes all available resources to maximize the potential of their product line by increasing revenue, profitability and market share.
General Responsibilities:
Responsible for the revenue and profit growth of a given auto parts category
Develop strategies for categories and serve as subject-matter expert
Develop and execute action plans to meet targets for cost, quality, and delivery
Proactively develop business growth opportunities and product line expansion
Manage and grow strategic vendor relationships
Negotiate prices, terms and conditions
Ensure accurate inventory levels and fulfillment
Evaluate industry trends to determine potential impacts and initiates actions to ensure continuity of supply chain
Conduct semiannual reviews of key suppliers to assess cost, quality, and delivery
Research potential suppliers for optimum alignment of capabilities with requirements
Mentor and train product specialists
Ensure key product information is relayed and utilized in the marketing strategies
Develop market strategies to maximize product revenue
Abilitiy to speak Mandarin a plus
Qualifications:
3-5 years' experience in overseas sourcing and category management
Bachelor's degree (B.A.); or one to two years related experience in a high transaction volume ecommerce organization and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex and highly visible projects
Ability to continually identify opportunities to improve efficiencies
Excellent analytical and organizational skills and ability to prioritize and to simultaneously handle multiple tasks
Proven cross-functional collaboration with marketing, purchasing, pricing and other key departments.
Strong Knowledge of automotive products and general repair
Superior communication skills and clear customer focus
Ability to perform in a fast paced evolving environment
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, SQL a plus
Management experience is a plus.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
