This position offers an emerging program manager with an opportunity to ensure execution of our investment portfolio achieves the objectives of our technology roadmap, supports the introduction of new products to the C4ISR industry and to enable alignment with our strategic priorities across both commercial and defense applications.
ISR & Space Systems Airborne business unit which is responsible for a product portfolio of airborne ISR passive and active sensing payloads, mission solutions and information management systems. This position will oversees and manage the lifecycle and operational aspects of IR&D and capital appropriation projects. This individual will operates the Airborne Program Management Office for innovation and liaises between planning, principal investigators/technical leads, the project teams and line management. The ability to Interface closely with highly technical principal investigators and manufacturing engineers conducting research and procurement to mature innovations to meet our customers? challenging problems will be essential. Reports to the Director, Strategy & Innovation.
+ Responsible for the planning, monitoring, control and execution of a variety of projects; work with the project team to manage of risk, assess of issues and develop of resolutions to meet maturity objectives within baselines set for scope, cost, schedule and risk.
+ Regularly interacts and interfaces with program managers of the adopting programs.
+ Coordinates the yearly planning & prioritization of the portfolio and creates the program plans and obtains internal approvals for project authorizations.
Qualification: Strong sense of ethics, integrity & transparency. Effective communication skills and ability to work closely with a wide variety of individuals across engineering, financial and supply chain functional organizations. Agility to foster new ideas, recognize the need for creative problem solving, consider new approaches & can motivates others with the benefits of change.
Demonstrated mastery of project management, EVMS, managing to cost, schedule and risk baselines. Experience with the management of projects from $100K to $1M. Understanding the US Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) is a plus.
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products including MS Project; Earned Value Measurement System tools, techniques and analysis. Ability to ramp up quickly to achieve a working knowledge of UTAS business systems, processes and procedures in a defense acquisition and compliance environment. Experience with SAP? enterprise resource planning software is a plus.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
