+ Experience with CAD Solid Modeling (CREO/PDM)
+ Applied experience with hands on engineering applications
+ Experience with laboratory work protocols and standard tools/equipment
+ Knowledge of component integration and design for manufacturability
+ Knowledge of electro/optical systems and sub components
+ Basic mechanical analysis and problem solving skills
+ Ability to support factory operations to perform root cause assessments and implement solutions for production issues
+ Ability to draft technical reports and procedures
Qualification:
+ 10 plus years of related work experience required
+ Working knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within Mechanical Engineering required
+ Engineering Design
+ Analyze customer requirements
+ Develop a design concept in collaboration with Optical Engineers
+ Evaluate design concepts using trade studies
+ Down select design concept in collaboration with Optical Engineers
+ Create design lay-outs
+ Design analysis and review
+ Analyze design layout?s compliance with customer requirements
+ Evaluate manufacturability
+ Design optimization
+ Participate in design review meetings with peers and customers
+ Final design documentation
+ Manufacturing support
+ Strong mechanism design skills
+ Support failure analysis via participation on relentless root cause analysis (RRCA) teams
+ Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing principles and ASME Y14.5M-1994 is preferred
+ Design for Manufacturing experience or the ability to transition a design from inception to prototype and then actual production
+ Working in compliance with military customer specifications and requirements
+ Strong analytical skills, using both mathematical and finite element modeling (FEM) computer software
+ Vibration, stress or aerodynamic analysis experience
+ Demonstrated experience with designing optical modules & sub-systems for precision alignment and testing
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Comfortable working within a project team structure
+ Report or presentation writing
+ Making technical presentations
+ Support customer meetings to achieve project-related goals or milestones
+ Some travel may be required
+ U. S. Citizenship required
+ Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance
Education:
+ Bachelor of Science, MS is desirable
+ Mechanical Engineer is preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
