Overview
Working closely with the Manager of Logistics, The Logistics Business Analyst will be responsible for handling the outbound and inbound transportation for all 1A Auto shipments. This position will assist in creating reports, efficiencies and best practices within logistics, as well as develop new transportation related disciplines. Travel 30%.
General Responsibilities
Assist in the management and negotiations for all modes of transportation including but not limited to, Small Parcel, Trucking, Rail, Drayage, Ocean Freight, CHB, Compliance, Origin Mgt., C-TPAT certification, etc.
Oversee outbound logistics operations to customers, and intra-facility transfers to other fulfillment centers.
Ensure all procedures related to transportation are followed, including documentation required for compliance and assisting in the new C-TPAT implementation process.
Engage with team members on various logistics related projects and studies involving site relocation, expedited delivery, alternative port options, new facility implementations and other initiatives.
Ensure compliance with existing Standard Operations Procedures regarding import transportation and work with Taiwan Buying Office and any issues or engagements with the factories.
Track all imports from foreign port to final destination, including customs entry, exams, monitoring per diem and any/all accessorial charges.
Work with carriers, forwarders and custom broker to ensure timely receipts and outbound shipments.
Ensure freight is properly audited and monitor carrier performance data.
Assist in managing relationships and Service Agreements including the onboarding of new freight carriers.
Work with team to ensure that delivered shipments have been expeditiously received and properly booked.
Provide data on service levels of all transportation provides and modes.
Manage insurance requirements and file freight claims as needed.
Communicate, represent, and uphold 1A Auto's core values and business philosophy with business partners.
Help identify and assist in implementing changes to improve efficiency and reduce costs within logistics.
Assist in achieving financial objectives by helping to prepare the annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Analyze and investigate ways to minimize the financial impact of proposed logistic changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, carriers.
Coordinates with other departments regarding sales, purchasing, and accounting, so that the fulfillment center activities remain well coordinated and operationally efficient.
Manage the timely delivery of goods; shipment loading, transferring, BL creation, document recording, data entry and ensuring DC managers and supervisors are executing all transportation related rules.
Develop and enforce standards, guidelines and policies for packaging, documentation and communications.
Help develop and track key operational and financial metrics
Qualifications
Possess a strong knowledge of Global Logistics.
Experienced at negotiating rates with all types of service providers.
Strong International, small parcel and domestic Intermodal experience preferred
Management reporting including understanding of various software programs (MS Office WMS, and other applicable software/programs)
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Proven leadership skills including excellent communications skills, the ability to make decisions quickly and independently, employee relations skills, and the ability to work at a fast pace with a high energy level
10+ years of related experience in warehouse, distribution center or manufacturing shipping/receiving in an e-commerce environment is preferred.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
