Supplier Development Engineer

Responsibilities Include:
Provide technical evaluations of supplier proposals to Subcontract Administrators by analyzing proposed manufacturing labor hours and recommending defendable negotiation positions utilizing supplier data or technical expertise.
Manage and analyze the Supplier Rationalization Tool communicating supplier status to Buyers/Subcontract Administrators.
Establish and maintain the work transfer process.
Monitor events, conditions, and inter-relationships that will affect availability of supplies.
Lead cross-functional teams to recommend thoughtful future actions and solutions pertaining to supplier development.
Work with suppliers to facilitate process improvements and material/design changes (VA/VE) that result in faster cycle times, lead time reductions, and improved quality/cost/delivery.
Analyze supply base capabilities and capacities against future program needs.
Evaluate supplier issues and solicit necessary resources/support to execute resolution plans using Root Cause/Corrective Action techniques.
Work with integrated teams to develop Supply Base; capable of controlling critical processes within a defined control plan.
Plan and sustain supplier on continuous improvement progress negotiating corrective action plans.
Develop and implement, with leadership, the business and continuous improvement roadmap to achieve a lower cost, responsive, and more robust supply chain, leading to Supplier Gold status.
Support Supplier Quality and lead critical commodity teams to achieve below industry standard PPM delivered products.
Perform pre/post award oversight of supplier selection; detecting, analyzing, and reporting problems/issues.
Set up supplier monitoring system to track critical events, requirements, or corrective action plans.
Knowledge of purchased products/services/commodities including various manufacturing processes.
Domestic travel is required.
Foreign travel may be required.
Qualifications 4 to 7 years of experience in aerospace/defense industry Mechanical engineering skills required
Experience with manufacturing engineering
Exposure to Program Management
Experience with QA systems such as AS9100 and ISO 9001
Presentation/communication skills
Organizational skills
Strategic planning and sourcing skills
Manage time/projects and lead teams
SAP MPS/MRP and Inventory Controls Management
Education
BS Engineering - ME preferred

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
